Hello

I just wanted to thank all of you whomever you are for stoping by and peeking at my doodles.

I love drawing and sharing my doodles with my friends.

I got a email from the local comic strip artist here in rome ny telling me my drawings show promise and that is a really wonderful boost to my creative side.

He does the comic strip called Bob the Squirrel. I have seen his work and he is very good.

its been a while since I have posted to my blog been busy working and I get to do some drawing when its slowed down.

I spend alot of time on my facebook making friends and uploading my drawings.

I have joined a few more art groups this month dealing with illustrating childrens books.

I want to get as much information as I can.

Joe and i watched fast and furious the newest dvd that just came out on july 28th.

We have the other 3 fast and furious dvds and now we will need to get this newest one to make our collection complete.

last night I did a little doodle I took out one of my drawing books that had a cumfy chair in it and I drew that first and then I drew a penguin sitting in the chair holding a fish on a stick its my first attempt drawing that type of doodle.

I only did that one drawing last night I should spend more time drawing. and not just do one drawing its criminal. I am going to be working july 30-august 1st at the pulaski fielddays hopefully it will be more busy for us than it was at the syracuse regional market.

well I just wanted to pop in and post some more of my artwork here need to catch up I am so far behind in my postings.

Hello to all my wonderful creative friends here. yesturday I had a really creative day at least I think I did. I was struggling with an idea for a birthday card for a friend and the paper was not speaking to me on the one subject I was going to do so I scrapped that idea and then another idea came to me and so here it is the shoe I went into google and found a vintage womans shoe and drew it. My husband even thinks its one of my better drawings so far. and I have never attempted to draw shoes before.

I went to work and had so much free time on my hands I did 2 penguin cards in black and white.

I did do a rhino drawing but not on a card just on a sheet of paper I had brought with me.

I want to do some more drawing later today since I have alot of free time on my hands I am not working for 9 days till july 1st that is when we are going to Oswego fielddays its a 5 day event for us. I will most definately be bringing tons of art supplies with me so I wont go crazy.

the other day though I forgot my art pencils and I was going crazy without them i had nothing to draw with and i was pinging off the walls :) I will never make that mistake again not bringing my art pencils with me.

well I better get to drawing want to make more cards and I have to make a birthday card for my sister.

I did another cartoon of myself today its 12:03pm right now and soon I have to get ready for work. I drew myself sitting in a park drawing I am sitting next to a tree.

I had done a larger one but I couldnt get the wording in so I redrew it on a smaller piece of paper. and I did the wording on the bottom of the cartoon.

I dont think I am going to be able to get any drawing time in tonight during work but I am still going to take my art supplies with me just to have them handy.

I hope that you are all having a dry day today but I hope it is not to dry out where it can cause problems

I hope that you will have a glorious thursday. its raining here in rome ny. I wonder what its doing where you are at right now.

last night I did a cartoon of myself and colored it in and my friend from england likes it she told me its better than the first one.

I got the idea for the backpack while I was taking a nap.

I want to do more I am going to be buying comic strip paper from dick blick this coming week and then look out. I hope that I can make a go of this comic strip and also illustrating to.

plus the other projects I have on my artistic plate.

Hello to all my wonderful friends
I hope that each and everyone of you have been having a wonderful week so far I have not posted in here in a few days been busy chatting online and drawing and working yes I know its only a 3 day a week job. its a good kind of tired :)
I was planning on drawing a cartoonish me earlier this morning but the paper had something else in mind and I ended up drawing a realistic lookiing me. I had taken several pictures of myself to use as drawing subjects for a cartoonish me.
I chatted with a friend from england today suggesting I do a comic strip about me I never thought to do one before and while I was napping the idea took shape about my daily life I dont know if anything will come of it. but I can try and see what happens when I put it to paper.
I am working thursday-saturday this week in clarkmills ny for the fieldays.
I cannot stay up late tonight since I want to be bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning and not fall asleep while at work.
last week in deerfield we got rained on but it didnt last and I was not worried I had my rain gear with me. I have 2-3 drawing projects to get started and some penguin cards out to some people in a group I just joined today.
I hope that they will like the cards

its now 2:32pm rome ny time and its hot and muggy here :(. it rained last night and there was thunder and lightening not a good thing :( dont like it. I dont mind the rain though we could use the rain. I did some more drawing today a sort of self portrait of me. and am going to post it to my blog page. No I am not being vain :) I tried drawing a rhino and the ink from the pen got smugged really making me mad so now I have to redraw the rhino. I put a caption next to the doodle which is what got smugged and ruined the drawing.

I wonder what you are all doing today?

Hello everyone :) its late here in rome ny and we are getting rained on and there is also thunder and lightening :(....last night I doodled a possible penguin cartoon that I am going to make into a childrens book I hope. I need alot of work on making the writing more neat and not have it smug like it did in the doodle. I hope that you all had a creative weekend as I did. what wonderful adventures did you have on Monday? do anything exciting? Joe and I had a cookout. He cooked chicken and steaks on the grill. they were very good.

Hello to all my wonderful friends. well I just finished a 3 day event in Verona NY

with Hawkins Amusement Rides. weather was fabulous I got to see the parade since I was almost right on top of it. and saw several fire departments coming onto the field of the fielddays.

it only got chilly in the late evening but I was prepared for that I brought my hoody with me.

I didn't even need my rain gear but I played it safe. You never can tell sometimes when you are working outside when and if it will rain. I dont believe half of what the weathermen tell you. They throw sticks on the ground to forcast the weather. I didnt do any drawing till late sunday night.

I did get an idea for a possible cartoon on friday. and have to work it out on paper. but since I was so bored and had so much time on my hands sunday I took out my pencil and drawing paper and doodled a monkey and an alligator but they are only rough drawings. earlier in the day though before I started working I did doodle 2 squirrels which give me alot of trouble. I cannot really bring the squirrel out of the paper. it fights me and so I end up making a total mess of things but yesturday the paper seemed to let me. the doodle looks sort of like a squirrel. I need to get some pictures of squirrels so I can practice drawing them.

I also want to get better at drawing alligators they are such beautiful animals.

I would love to read all about your wonderful adventures if you are so inclined to post your thoughts here for me to read that is of course if you want to.

I am working thursday-saturday this week I am off on Joe and my anniversary we are going to be married 12 years this june 14th flag day. Joe has to work but that is fine we can celebrate our anniversary anytime. it will be just as special.

I know the above drawings are just rough sketches but I just wanted to post them so I can look at them when I want to and improve upon them and tweek them as I improve to show how I have progressed in drawing. a learning aid to myself. well its getting late and I want to surf the web for alittle longer before I head off to bed. I have to go shopping later today at walmart after I pay on our rent a center bill.

it actually looks like a comic strip in a way. but I need to work on the wording cannot write myself out of a ripped paper bag. and that is the truth. sure I can doodle but writing I am horrible at. and I am not being humble.

I actually like the little doodle now that I see it like this it look good. I think I will do another one. and see where it takes me since Joe is going to be away to work tonight I am going to have alot of time on my hands so I have to fill that time up doing something and drawing fits the bill dont you think :) there wont be anything new on tv till the fall and that is depressing missing all my shows that I watch religiously I am in a couple of cartooning groups and so I have to go check in with them and see what I can learn its been a while since I have visited those few groups. I just hope I can learn something to make my art work pop.

Hello to all my wonderful friends
yes its me again.
I have not written to my blog in several days.
may 28-30 I worked at the Minoa Fielddays.
this coming week we are going to be in Verona for the firemens fielddays.
today I did 3 drawings 2 of people which I am not really good at drawing but I had to try. then I drew a cat just using my number 2 pencil I posted all three drawings to my blog. I know the portraits need alot of work.
the weather was simply glorious for the 3 days.
we had a special on thursday and on saturday for the children 1 price all day for those 2 days then it was back to the ticket price afterwards.
I didn't get much time to draw at work since it was so busy for us and of course me.
which is a good thing. my go gator acted up
and had to have a temporarily out of order sign put on and I had to go help the paratrooper I loaded and unloaded the passengers and took their tickets. I was not allowed to operate the ride which was just fine by me.
it was chilly though at night but I didnt really mind. I had my hoody on and it did help keep out some of the chil of the night air.
we had fireworks on friday which was great I missed seeing the fireworks.
and on saturday we had a parade which I didnt see just heard some of it. and I saw the firemen afterwards as they entered the fielddays.

I took 2 naps on sunday after going to get my pay check and watched tv with my husband. we rented several dvds driven to kill a steven seagal movie we love his movies, taken a liam neeson movie he is also a good actor. we have not watched my bloody valentine or the devils tomb I want to see that one if we get a chance. I had to go grocery shopping today I baught to much I am so hating shopping with a passion right now. I had to buy Joe some bottled water he drinks Nestle bottled water. I got it on sale today.

well I think this blog has gotten long enough

Hello to all my wonderful friends
I hope that you all had a most glorious Memorial Day with your loved ones remembering the lives of those who are over in Iraq and Afganistan and in other countries defending our lives.

its me rebecca.. I worked friday-sunday at the whitesboro fielddays. it was a beautiful 3 busy day work week for us.
the weather was simply glorious no rain and not really hot out should have though brought my
hat that my Aunt baught for me to wear out in the sun but stupid me didnt wear it. it was home in the closet doing me not a bit of good.
I did do some drawing when it was not to busy at work. that only happens near the end of the night when it gets quite. that is why I always make sure I have my drawing supplies with me
what wonderful adventures did you all have this past week?

Joe and I had a cookout with our neighbors. they are nice people.
Joe and I watched house for a little while but it was a repeat so we turned it to two and a half men which we like watching... we then watched csi miami tonight and checked out Jay Leno's garage online he has so many wonderful classic cars and motorcycles.
this coming week we are going to be in Minoa for the fielddays. hopefully the weather will be just as wonderful as last week but either way I am prepared for the weather.

Hello to all my wonderful friends
I hope that the day you are all having is as wonderful as mine. I did 2 loads of laundry and mailed out a letter to a friend hope he gets it on saturday but I am not sure he may get it on tuesday since monday is a legal holiday.
I have to do the pots and pans and I am also going to be doing alot of drawing today since my husband is going out later tonight. I am so loving the me time I am having.
the weather here in rome ny is simply glorious sunny and blue skys I think its in the 80's I am going to have to load of on fluids this weekend :)
I have been going over my emails and sending out emails to the groups I am in.
I do have to tweek my blog page somemore its a long work in progress.
I wonder if it will ever be finished since I do love drawing and want to keep posting my doodles on the blog page. can never get enough drawing :) I am a drawing junkie :)

tonight I am going to be taping bones if its on and then csi and after that I dont know what is on tv. I love watching csi.. I watch csi ny, csi miami, ncis, criminal minds which was a great episode last night, and I am glad that the tv show lie to me is coming back in the fall at least that is what I saw in an email from one of the groups I am in.
also I saw the dollhouse is also coming back I love that show.
well I see I have more emails coming into my mailbox so I am going to close this post

Hello to all my wonderful friends
I posted my 1 and only altered domino to my blog I sanded 6 dominos so they are now ready to be either painted or use sharpie markers with 100 grit sandpaper..
I made up a wish list from dick blick an online art supply store. I am going to be buying
some canvas panels and Joe is going to be buying some wood he loves working with wood.
I go back to work this coming friday-sunday.
I hope that the weather will be better for a change. since saturday was cold and raining and sunday was freezing cold. :(.....
I didnt do any drawing today but maybe before I go to bed I will do some I do have to finish my inchies so I can post them to my blog and to my yahoo group.
tonight Joe and I watched the season finale of ncis and the mentalist.
last night Joe and I watched 24 and then csi miami.

Hello to all my wonderful friends

my name is rebecca kurowski

I am 47 years old, happily married to a wonderful husband named Joe.

we have been married now for 12 wonderful years this coming june 14th.

I love to draw penguins, rhinos, polar bears and cartoonish things.

I also draw sea turtles and sea horses. and sunflowers.

I make atc's and have been doing that off and on for about a year. I just started doing

inchies which are 1 inch x 1 inch square pieces of art work. I think they are so cute. I also make 1 inch x 2 inchie pieces of art work.

I swap my inchies and atcs when people get the itch to swap with me.

I just got into altered dominos I baught a set from walmart

that cost me $5.38 plus tax...I have some sharpies at home but will buy more next week from walmart. As of late I have been drawing alot of penguins I just love them so much

I am in alot of yahoo groups alot of atc groups and inchie groups and pen pal groups.

I am a yahoo group junky :)

I love making female friends and I really hit the jackpot if they are artists. so I get double the blessing female friends and those who are artists or into crafts :)....

I work for Hawkins Amusement Rides have been working for them now for 3 summers this year. I love the job. its a dream job in my opinion.

I have been drawing on the days I am not working for Hawkins. I uploaded a drawing I had done back in 2007 of a Hanya mask I thought that I had lost it but there it was waiting to be found.

I think Hanya masks are beautiful I see nothing evil or scary about them.

Hello

my name is rebecca

I have been drawing most of my life. I didn't draw though much while in the army

back in 1986-1989 but now I am doing more drawing I have improved over the years.

I love drawing rhinos, penguins, polar bears, cartoony things. one day I would love to illustrate

childrens books. that is a dream of mine.

I want to make my art work pop I see other peoples art and sometimes I feel my artwork is lacking. but I keep drawing and working on the gift of drawing that I have been given.

I collect figurines and things to use as drawing subjects since I cannot see the real thing :)

I make cards, bookmarkers, postcards and stationary by hand.

I use colored pencils and number 2 pencils for drawing and sometimes I use black ink writing pen to outline some of my drawings I dont know why I picked up that habit of doing that but I did.

I have markers but I am not really good at using them I need to practice using them.

I have acrylic paints but have not used them yet.

I want to thank you all ahead of time for coming to my blog and looking at my drawings. hopefully you will enjoy what you see, if not let me know ok

my name is rebecca I am 47 years old, married to a wonderful man name Joe we have been married for 12 years this june 14th
I am an artist I love to draw, animals and cartoonish things, I have not really sold any of my art work except to my family member.

I draw rhinos, penguins lions, sea horses, sunflowers, polar bears, I make my own cards and staionary and bookmarkers,
